Thinking about doing the swing arm upgrade to my 97 FLHT, so have been collecting parts.
Including a 02/07 type rear wheel (9 spoke), I'd like to update the front to match it.
Only problem I see is the speedo drive from front wheel, is there some way to adapt or modify to fit later wheel?
Be creative. I have a 19" Enforcer wheel on my '94. Here's how we managed the Speedo drive. You might be able to do something similar, use your imagination and you might find a way to make it work.
3/4 sealed bearing for the wheels and notch the disc for the speedo drive.
I'm putting the same wheels on my 85 Low Rider, but I'm updating mine to a dual disc Brembo set up with modified Touring fork legs. I still have to mod for the speedo drive yet.
