Default handle bars

I have a 1985 FLTC I've been restoring and now I'm down to a couple small things. The handle bars are a little bent on the right hand side and I have new bars and am wondering how the gauges come loose so I can get to the bars. Is this a pain to do or should I just get my Indy to change them out ?

It's a Harley.
Everything is a pain the first time and a breeze the second time.

Think you and a buddy can unbend them?

You can get a service manual on eBay I'm sure, the steps will be in there if you want to remove the bars. I have one but frankly I hardly ever use it. These are pretty simple machines. Just dig in and it'll be obvious most of the time.

Sorry I will add something useful now. I agree on the above either a shop manual or just start taking it apart. I would try that first before paying someone.
