before I pull the trigger on a 900 dollar exhaust....just want to double check if anyone has experience.....will a exhaust for a 2000 TC softail work on the a evo softail engine?
its actually for a bobber im building that uses softail parts...im running a s s v111" and would like to use a d d bobcat 2 into 1...but they have it listed as 2000 and up.....
its def the exhaust I want to use. anyone know? I called d d and they don't know if it will.......I checked brass ***** cycles since some of the bikes seem to use a bobcat canister. they look the same as the d d stock photos...I called them a few times and no one picks up.
The '00-up exhaust will not fit the heads of the EVO.
Not true.
I have a few exhaust systems that I interchange between EVO's and T/C's fairly often, Sometimes I have to fab up a rear mounting bracket, but other than that it's a bolt on.
I recently put a T-Header on my '01 Dyna that came off of a 2010 Dyna....I was told it wouldn't fit by the shop I got it from.
A slight modification to the rear mounting bracket and 30 minutes later....It was on my '01.
My point is this, If the pipe will clear your pegs/boards, will bolt up and seal to your heads doesn't have to be put in a bind to fit your motorcycle then it fits.....It's as simple as that.
Sometimes it just takes a few tools and a little ingenuity.

If your talking about D&D in Ft. Worth TX you should know 2 things.
1 Their customer service is great.
2 They don't give refunds if the pipes don't fit.
I tried a set of their pipes a while back and no matter what I did I couldn't get the rear pipe to clear the cam chest.

Running a Dragos Dragula 2:1 / 3-step pipe on my S&S V111 in a Kraft Tech K15051 softail frame. Pipe is made for late model T/C's and has bungs for both lamda/sensor types. Easy install on my scoot, a simple bolt-on project.
Well. I guess I'm gonna go for it. That sound of that canister is the only one that I can find that has that super bike sound on a Harley. Yeah I don't mind if the mounts have to be made to fit. Just scared the headers won't fit around the cam cover
