Is the entire seat real leather??
May I ask what it cost you?
Yes, that's all brand-new leather. $1000 total, which while not cheap, was still considerably less than the price of the Corbin replacement. I liked the existing HD rider's backrest; the Corbin one didn't look as comfortable (at my age comfort is a prime concern). And I wanted to keep the profile of the seat just as MCC had modified for me ten years ago (slightly lower and further back than stock). He replaced the worn-out memory foam top layer, and any other worn-out foam, but kept the profile.
The shop is local to me, and I saw the work he had done on a variety of custom cars and bikes, so was expecting top-notch work. It took a while for him to finish, but it was winter so I was not too worried.
Maybe I should have sent it out to Dr. Hess instead.
