Default FXRC to FXRT?

So, I have an 86 FXRC, #440/1250 that I absolutely love to ride. It's a stock survivor bike. I also have the opportunity to turn it into an FXRT. I have a friend that has donated the bags and faring.
My question is, mount the bags and faring painted in the stock colors? Paint the entire bike in a custom like maybe yellow with silver coast flames or leave the bike alone?
What say you?

Paint em to match the stock colors of the bike. I have 93 FXLR anniversary in two tone grey and I've seen one with an Fxrt fairing and it looked great. I'd do it to mine if I had the fairing. It's not like you are chopping up your bike and you can always change it back to stock.
Do what makes you happy. Seriously.

I'm with him. paint it the same color as the bike. you can always remove everything and have it back to stock.

Sure, it's doable. Here's a pic of my FXLR with FXRT bags.

Paint to match the stock color, that's what I've done with my 85 FXRC.

Paint it to match the stock colors....It'll look good and be an unusual color combination on an FXRT style bike.
FXRT's are the ONLY baggers I would even consider owning.

Please don't paint it yellow......YUK!!!!

Yeah, that's what I had in mind, that way it can easily be made stock.
I also like the bags and windshield, gonna be a fun winter project.
