Default evo power options ?

I have a 1996 softail custom 80 inch evo. It has a revolution performance 85 inch big bore kit, ev-27 cam, mikuni carb , big breather.

I am curious what other I can do with out breaking the bank to produce some more power and a little faster.

What exhaust? Ignition? Compression? If your running stock compression with that ev27 you could start there. Im sure others will give you some great ways to spend you money! lol

Did you have to bore the cases for your big bore kit???
What compression pistons are in it?
Are you looking for more top end speed or low end torque?

Headwork and a Wood 8 cam, bringing the compression along accordingly.

no case boring was needed for the big bore kit. it has 10.5:1 wiseco forged pistons. getting different exhaust also, thinking big radius .

Are you looking for top end or bottom end power?

Scott gives some good advice above.

How much are you looking to spend??????

I highly doubt you are making enough power to make big radius pipes necessary.

Talk to Scott on here at Hillside about the heads getting done and about a decent exhaust to produce power rather than just noise or looks and you'll be golden. Lot cheaper too.

I would be thrilled with those numbers. You should quit while you are ahead.
