Default Limited brake control rotation

Hi,
Just bought a 2014 Sportster Superlow T. Before my first ride I was adjusting things to fit, but in bringing the bars down and back to the rider, the clutch and brake controls of course rotated up. The clutch rotated (forward) back down no problem, but the brake assembly rotation is limited because the formed fitting on the brake line runs right into the handlebar before the brake lever can get below level (parallel with the ground). It looks like you either need a 90 degree fitting coming directly out of the control casting, or you would need to modify (grind) the control casting housing where the brake line comes out to allow the brake line to rotate in the casting allowing more clearance away from the handlebar, hence allowing the brake lever to rotate down further. Anyone else run into this/solve this in anyway?

I have a SuperLow and, by coincidence, have the right controls apart at present. You could consider undoing that top banjo bolt, to refit the banjo above the nib on the master cylinder. You will obviously need to drain and bleed the system, but so would any other solution, I suspect.

An alternative is to replace the entire front brake pipe with a custom made one. A local indy who makes up brake pipes can do that in the blink of an eye! I suspect a similar top fitting, with a curve in it, but the other way up, will get around the fixed nib and point it down. That nib is only there for ease of assembly on the production line, IMHO.
