Default 85 electra glide work in progress



She is gettin new paint and badges, an inner fairing, gauges, and radio and street glide mirrors, then 21" big spoke wheel w/ a white wall and 17" ape Hangers!!! I picked her up last july for 5 grand and she only had 24,500 miles on her, one owner bike, i put just over 5000 on her before the final drive belt broke, shes boared 10 over, got a new cam and mikuni carb and intake and runs strong, cant wait to finish the lil details

Very nice EG. All the upgrades sound great.. But 17" shoes with a fairing? Interesting......

That's a real clean bike. If it was mine I'd leave it be & just ride it. Nice to see a bike that old unmolested.

Agreed! Beautiful bike just the way it is.

Lol im keeping all the factory parts and badges, the paint will be vivid black just without the gold painted pin stripes

I took off the chrome saddle bag protectors and smoked the short winshield already but i have the tall windshield and the bag protectors in the garage put up that way if i ever decide to sell her i have all the stock parts to go with her, i wont chop her all up tho shes too nice a bike for that, but the paint needs a lil tlc the bags have some chips and the fairing has some scratches and a small dinger in the tank, so im just gonna freshen her up this winter ill post more picts as i go

My thoughts exactly. Really getting sick of seeing the big 21"+ wheels on these bikes. BUT it's yours do what you want with it!

Trust me when its all done it will be just as nice if not nicer then a new one someone thats got 25 to 30 grand in and ill have done all the work myself and wont even have a 3rd of that kinda cash in mine and ill own it not the bank

Yeah I dig the look of that bike as it is, definitely something I would like to come across if I was in the market for a bagger. If I had intentions similar to yours, I would have sought out someone's molested cluster f*** and straighten it out and make it mine.
