She is gettin new paint and badges, an inner fairing, gauges, and radio and street glide mirrors, then 21" big spoke wheel w/ a white wall and 17" ape Hangers!!! I picked her up last july for 5 grand and she only had 24,500 miles on her, one owner bike, i put just over 5000 on her before the final drive belt broke, shes boared 10 over, got a new cam and mikuni carb and intake and runs strong, cant wait to finish the lil details
I took off the chrome saddle bag protectors and smoked the short winshield already but i have the tall windshield and the bag protectors in the garage put up that way if i ever decide to sell her i have all the stock parts to go with her, i wont chop her all up tho shes too nice a bike for that, but the paint needs a lil tlc the bags have some chips and the fairing has some scratches and a small dinger in the tank, so im just gonna freshen her up this winter ill post more picts as i go
Trust me when its all done it will be just as nice if not nicer then a new one someone thats got 25 to 30 grand in and ill have done all the work myself and wont even have a 3rd of that kinda cash in mine and ill own it not the bank
Yeah I dig the look of that bike as it is, definitely something I would like to come across if I was in the market for a bagger. If I had intentions similar to yours, I would have sought out someone's molested cluster f*** and straighten it out and make it mine.
Nice bike, keep us posted....
