I'm coming into this thread a little late, but yes... good choice. Can't go wrong w/ Magnum or Barnett. Here are some MAGNUM Black Pearls on 1996 Bad Boy. Throttle, idle, break, and clutch. 3.5 or 4 years old engaged my stock EVO w/ ev27 cam (in storage) and this SS 124. No issues! Correct on cables too. Order OEM stock style for SS G or E for YOUR year. I also use Magnums plug wires. No issues w/ either brand man (look at the Fatty on pg.2) but the Mags IMHO got looks that kill! Sorry for big pic but had to show cables. Enjoy!

Beautiful bike and great looking cables, mine will be here tomorrow. To the other poster yes, all the name brand cables I know of do have a teflon liner of some sort that requires no lubrication.
Well heck, I received my cables today and find the 5210HE clutch cable that is supposed to have 2 13/16 inches of travel to only have 2 5/16 inches of travel, as per their on line measurement system. The clutch cable will not work a half inch short and they are now closed, so I have left a nice polite voice message and followed up with an email message as well.
Dang, if they don't get back to you ASAP go to any INDY or Engine shop. Drag Specialties HD Fat Book reps almost complete line. When I order Magnum Cables for myself or customers... I always get them from Drag. 2-3 day shipping and ALL lengths and travel options are always available. Once Magnum fixes this (they will, REP is too good man) you will love your cables.

Got a friend looking for an idle cable for 94 Tour Glide with cruise control. The cable has some sort of disconnect switch attached. Would Barnett or Magnum be the place to look?
Thanks.
@lazybee
Yes, pre 96 "square controls/switch housings" cables available from BOTH brands. That is an odd idle cable. Some early 88" 2 cam bikes like Road Kings w/ cruise some years have that odd set up too. Once again you can order brands direct or any local INDY shop will push those brands via Drag Spec. and Tucker Rocky Bikers Choice.

That sucks!!! I hope they make it right for you quick. I don't even remember any variable like that. I just went by length and year.
I'm sure they will make it right, like BigM said and by the reviews I have seen on line, and the weather is not that great anyway right now. But for sure I will be updating how they handle this and I expect to be impressed.
I do like the look of the cables and brake line, and boy is that cable smooth and slippery as it slides in its sheath, I could not only see but feel the quality of these products when in hand. I also noticed the inner wire is thicker and the whole cable fatter than what I had on there, and a quality cable to say the least.
I called and got Maria just before they opened this morning and she had already listened to my message left Friday before getting her coffee this morning. I sent her a picture and she has started the replacement process so I should have new correct clutch cable by Wednesday.
Every business can make a mistake and I didn't run into any posted in my research when making my decision on which manufacturer to go with, so I assume such is rare. But I can report now that they do stand behind their product and provide excellent mistake correction service.
Here is a picture of my cable which should have been 2 13/16 inches of travel which they have accepted as not.
