I had a set the same. There were several different optional tips available. They are significantly noisier than stock, so leave them alone until you've ridden with them for a while. I liked mine, although when I bought them, around 2000, I was told there were 'old' really noisy ones and 'new' less noisy ones. I was never sure which versions I had!
I have the same mufflers, known as the "small hole" mufflers. The big hole mufflers that look the same have baffles that are welded in and don't come out without a lot of work. You'll always be able to use a big drill and drill them out.
The baffles will come out of the small hole variety but my left one is really tight in there, a prior owner has cut my right one so it's gone, just the end cap is there which the tip bolts into. I've installed a thumbscrew to to cut the reversion and the sound is just perfect for me.
Here's a video if you're interested, this is on my twin cam of course. Your Evo will sound better.
Wow. Those do sound good! Thanks for posting that video!
Thanks! My friend has your exact mufflers with baffles, hers is quieter than mine at idle, but riding down the road hers has a bit of a bark, it sounds good. I think you'll be happy and if you want it louder, you can cut the baffle like mine.
My left pipe is very quiet at idle with its baffle, but on the highway I can hear both pipes it seems about the same volume and loud, like I like it on the highway.
I love the looks of your bike. Reminds me of my Evo Road King which I still miss to this day. Nothing sounded as good as that old cammed Evo:
Thanks again Joe! Those sound about like my current Samsons do. Not too loud but barks when I get on it. I would be very satisfied if mine sounds that good with new mufflers. Probably wont get them here until friday or so. The waiting is killing me!
I will tell you the best sounding mufflers imho are the CFR's. They are so deep but a nice bark. There are cheap knockoffs on eBay, my buddy just got a set last week.
I'll try to post a video. Those CFR knock-offs sound like thunder! Those may be the deepest sounding pipes I have heard. A tad loud for my taste but nice none the less.

A great analogy. They sound great but I lean toward loud on my pipe decisions.
Easiest way to post videos is to get a free YouTube account and sign up on your phone, then you smartphone will upload the videos to your YouTube account and you can copy and paste the YouTube URL here.
Word to the wise, take your video with the phone sideways, then if you watch your video on a computer or TV it'll be 1080p (assuming you have a smartphone made since 2013).
Here is a video of my current Samson mufflers. I should have the new Kerker mufflers installed tomorrow. I'll post a video of those once I get them installed.
Bike looks great, a little quiet for my personal taste. I bet the screaming Eagles will be a bit louder. I personally love the rocket tips like we both (soon) have.
