Damn..that turned out bitchin' ! I told you the bike would feel more nimble. Tight turns are a breeze. They will pay for themselves on your next long trip. If you jack the bike up with your jack and there is still some slack in the front brake lines, they should be fine. Did you end up running an air line to the back of the bike for your front forks?

No, I just got some fuel line from Ace Hardware, a barbed fitting, a hose clamp and a cap for the fitting. It's all stuffed up under the batwing. No way to pressurize the system, but it is sealed and I can still do the vacuum fork oil change.

Loving life right now. This thing arrived this morning, and it looks like it should line up perfectly:

Looking closer at this manifold setup it is different than the Russell one I got. On mine all 3 lines are threaded into the manifold. Yours are pressed in by the looks of it. Just for giggles when I get back into my garage I'll snap a pic of what I got since I have the fairing off at the moment. I imagine maybe it's just the difference in the model years? Simply an observation.

Edit: Pic as promised.

Finalizing some stuff here. My final parts list:

- WildOne WO577 12.5" bars
- WildOne WO538 single piece top clamp
- Barnett +6 clutch, throttle and idle cables

For the brake lines, everything is Russell (Drag Specialties part numbers):

- Tee/Splitter thing that goes under the triple clamp: 1742-0016
- Top hose: 26". Could have gone a bit shorter, but the excess is hidden in the batwing: 1741-0074
- Bottom hoses: 12". Double checked, and these are plenty long: 1741-0066
- Went with 35 degree banjos at the MC and the calipers: 1742-0019

First leg of the trip is behind us. We are settled in in glorious Broken Bow, Nebraska. Bike ran great. New bars are wonderful. Totally worth the swap.

That turned out really nicely. Got me horny to get my bar project started now.
