I think it is Grade 8. Three radial lines, and a triangle on the head.

I looked all over the bike, Upper Mount, Lower Mount, Primary, Horn. Nothing seems to be missing. It does not appear to affect the bike's performance. No unusual feels, or sounds.

i suspect that the indy lost a bolt while doing something. Never found it. Then replaced it (I hope) with another bolt.

Three lines is Grade 5.

Looks like it could be a bolt for kickstand/left footboard bracket. There is one on upper backside.

Grade 5 it is. It's not out of the heim joint in the shift linkage, and the jiffy stand bolts are all there.

Size and grade points to an upper motor mount bolt. I suspect your Indy dropped it, couldn't find it, so substituted another bolt.

I've done this before, lose a bolt or nut, grab one out of stock to finish the job, then find the bolt or nut hiding somewhere days later.

I suspect that the indy turned to his buddy and said "I'll just lay this extra bolt right here. It'll drive him crazy!"
