Default Ignition Module and Timing

Are the marks on the ign. mod. plate 1 degree each?

Also, how do you know when you have it right, dyno is not an option.

Thanks

Use a timing light.
There is a mark on your crank at 35° that you will need to put some light colored pain in so that it is easier to see when looking through the timing hole.

I've never needed any paint. I also have timed it for years without the clear plug, until someone gave me one.

BE CAREFUL taking the plug out. The threads in the case strip real easy. Put some penetrating oil on it first.
