You can still find the emissions decals, nos, if you have the part number. The vin tag has embossed lettering, that's the tough part. You can have a decal shop make you a vin sticker, but I haven't found anyone that can emboss the letters, just printed.

The factory used a typewriter on our Sportster.

Was probably done on a machine like this...I worked at an electric motor rebuild shop that had one...places also use them to make pet tags.

Damn, wish I had one of those big enough to take my Bonneville frame - the bike would be on the road in no time...
