Default Lifters/Tappets

My next project is to rebuild the rockers, replace the push rods and lifters. I have the rebuild parts, also have a set of new push rods on order, what I haven't ordered are the lifters, stock, $240.00, Screaming Eagle, $249.00 and S&S has a set for $220 and a set for $266, all about the same price. Which are the best?

S&S lifters on my new build. Scott at Hillside also recommends S&S.

The set that has "big axle" rollers.
I like the S&S stuff too.

You can get US made Johnson lifters for a little over $100. They are good lifters. Can't go wrong with the brand name you mentioned, if you don't mind spending more.

I had a set of Feuling HP+ lifters put in over the winter. http://www.feulingparts.com/products...%20-%2090/4061

Time will tell, but I got 23 years and 58,000 miles out of the OEM lifters. Most of that was with an EV27 cam bumping them. They looked good when removed, but they also might have been a ticking bomb...

The link you are giving is for a TWIN CAM lifter. They don't make an evo lifter...Never really noticed that it is hylift-johnson and not Johnson Hylift on the box. Maybe I bough the wrong ones but pretty sure these where what he was referring to when he said around $100 cause its the only Johnson that I found in that price range and they are american made in Muskegon, MI .

Anyway I read lots of reviews on these when I did my top in couple years ago. I put these in and no problems so far with around 12K on them.
