Anyone using a solid sprocket instead of the compensator on their EVO?
I put one on my Wide Glide for a while. Didn't care for the feel. It was more responsive, but there was no dampening of the engine pulses through the driveline.. Anything less than 61 or so in 5th was kind of harsh.. If your aggressive and run higher RPM, I think you'll like it.. In fact, I might be willing to part with this one for a reasonable price, I'm pretty sure its still on the shelf.
You really don't want to do that! There is a jolly good reason that singles and twins have had them for many decades. Why do you ask?!
Graham is right, they really are for performance/race only. Thats when I learned that these engines prefer to live above 3k rpm. Just didnt fit my driving style..
