I decided to swap bars today. I haven't ridden it yet but I don't know if I am liking the looks of the mini apes. I was contemplating a batwing fairing but I'm on the fence about that now. I am going to get a new used set of tanks to paint though. I have a bitching set of shovel emblems sitting on the shelf waiting to be used
see how it FEELS while riding to figure out what ya want........got 12" on mine and they makes me sit UP more and it makes it more comfortable to ride......
12 inch with about a one inch riser. The t bars I had on it before were 12 inch too but less pull back. Anything over that (I'm 6 footy give it take a smudge) and it's over shoulder height which I have learned over the years ultimately becomes uncomfortable for me
I'm 6'-0" as well and I put a set of 14" on my RK, they fit real well. I like the way the 1-1/4" bars look on my bike, you might want to find an old set of 1-1/4" bars and see how that changes the look for that bike, they might be too thick.
Nice looking bike.

Damn Jason I'm 5'5" and my 16" bars on 1" risers put my hands just below my shoulders. (About 1" I think.)
One thing I am doing different is that I lined up my bars with my forks.
I like them better than what you had, but then again, I hate the way t-bars look. That is just a preference for appearance though.
I think what is throwing the look off is the seat.
I think a Badlands seat with a short / mini sissy bar might look better, but that is a matter of opinion. Either that or a butt crack or similar solo seat.
A dark tinted Flyscreen windshield would look good with those handlebars and is relatively inexpensive. Just a matter of opinion though.
Dude, years ago I bought a dyna superglide with buckhorn bars on it. I remember thinking those Bucky's would be the first thing I was gonna change. But I drove the bike a few weeks and they grew on me. Left them on for a couple of years before trading up to my Fatboy.
Give those apes a few weeks and see if they grow on you or not.
