swingarm bushing 1990 FXRS
Replacing original swingarm bushings on 1990 FXRS (80K= miles). Was showing machinist friend the various bushing solutions available to me. He said I can make those. He suggested I contact McMaster-Carr.
My thought was to use either Delrin or Polyurethane for the bushings, like:

Abrasion-Resistant Polyurethane Rubber Round Tube, 6" Long, 1-3/4" OD, Durometer 95A (Extra Hard)
Or
2) Black Delrin Ž Acetal Resin Rod, 2" Diameter

Then for the sleeve, maybe an oil embedded, like:

Oil-Embedded Sleeve Bearing for 5/8" Shaft Diameter, 1" OD, 3" Length
We would then mill and lathe these into any shape we need.
Anyone ever do something like this? Do you know where I might find specs to build these bushings from?

On my 1990 Glide I have bushings from True-Track, which appear to be bronze or a similar copper alloy. They've been working fine for many years! So a suitable metal would be an alternative. There have been several brands over the years who have made replacements.
