Replacing original swingarm bushings on 1990 FXRS (80K= miles). Was showing machinist friend the various bushing solutions available to me. He said I can make those. He suggested I contact McMaster-Carr.
My thought was to use either Delrin or Polyurethane for the bushings, like:
On my 1990 Glide I have bushings from True-Track, which appear to be bronze or a similar copper alloy. They've been working fine for many years! So a suitable metal would be an alternative. There have been several brands over the years who have made replacements.
