Default Fairing Speaker Mount

Finishing up service and cleaning on my '96 and found one of the speaker mount post broken ... if it matters it's the lower post on the right hand side ... the one the support brace attaches to ...

is there a way to fix this ? I have the piece that broke off ... the screw barely goes into what post is left ... I'm guessing the vibration will take it out in no time

I have used a two part epoxy, JB weld as well as other stuff. One thing to ck is if the product works well with abs plastic which I pretty sure the fairing is.

Have fixed 2 fairings and some bags with this stuff

This is just the first example I found in a search. It works great on such repairs. The problem is it is pricey and requires a specific gun to use. Kinda like a caulking gun. Most body shops have some around.

I do some front end work for a couple of body shops here so I can source this stuff easily. If your lucky enough to know a body shop I'd ck with them to see if you could get some help.

I had a broken tab in my fairing that I lost the piece to. I recreated it with this stuff:

Works well.

If that's broken look at your steel inner fairing brackets. When they fatigue and crack the vibration travels through supports in the inner fairing and begins breaking other pieces. I had to replace several parts in my buddies '96 this summer.
