Personally I'l like a meet up mid to late May somewhere near the Sisters.
Get up Saturday morning, find breakfast then ride the Sisters stopping for lunch and beer.

Hopefully Owtlaw will chime in with his thoughts.
Sounds good to me.....

This is me, chiming....

The rally I posted is a little early in the season and the weather could be problematic. Either cold, or wet, or both. Also good points on getting to meet up with fellow Evo riders without a whole lot of other distractions.

Mid May seems like kind of a sweet spot. Before all the graduations and weddings that eat up peoples' time, and the weather should be reasonably good. Ideas?

The resorts and campgrounds in the area of the Three Sisters all require a 2 night minimum stay on weekends. I usually figure on a Friday arrival, ride and sightsee on Saturday, and depart for home on Sunday.

I've stayed here, and it's very nice.

I've also stayed here, but not since the new ownership.

I've not stayed at, but heard good things about Neal's.

Of course, we could always just throw all in and go to Big Bend.......

Whatever you decide I'd like to swing by the Lone Star Motorcycle Museum.

I'm sure that will be a stop. It's in Vanderpool, which is on the road from Medina to Leakey. Cool place.

Yeah I saw that.

If you want to do the sisters then starting in Medina would make sense.

I'll throw this place in the mix. We stayed here a few times ahh 4-5 years ago.

They tend to book up early. Gonna guess decisions need to be made by end of Feb or first part of March at the lastest

Regarding the Lone Star Motorcycle Museum...

I've never been there, but their website says they closed the cafe after 2014. It says they only have "cold drinks, ice cream, and chips".

Repeating my caveat that my getting there is far from a sure thing (so please don't made any decisions on my account) but that looks real good, right there.
