Whoa thc.! Its not that bad its just the Gas Tank that spoils the ride for me.
A few other wee bits and pieces I dont like, however its the guys ride and he likes,or maybe loves, it for all I know. Takes all kinds an all that stuff. Bungo
Bungo I've been telling TD that for years now!!!
It's more of a joke between us than anything else.
If I remember right that bike was originally labeled as a wonderful example of an LGBT parade bike by spanners.
God I miss TD....He was so much fun to make fun of!!!!!
I think I only have $15k into my softie. Lol. I might even get $5500 for her in the right light if the planets align.
I have about $8,500 into my 1992 Softail. I am about to put another 2 or 3 into it. Glad to see I am not alone.
I go into the Harley showroom and look at the new bikes and think if I was a billionaire and price was no object, I would still rather have mine than any of the new ones.
I also have an excellent deal on this authentic one of a kind beauty yamaharley once owned by world renounced legend Mr.Sea Foam himself. make offer.
I'd not give more than 4˘. Actually, I'd try to get you to pay me to take that nasty thing off your hands so I could sell it for a dollar to the junkyard as scrap.

Talkin about TD made me wonder..........did Andy Warhol ever do a
"Sea Foam" painting a la "Campbells" Soup Tin.?
When I first saw the "Sea Foam" discussions and banter between TD and others, inc. your good self,on the forum a few years ago I genuinely didnt know that Sea Foam was an actual product that could be bought.
I thought it was just a imaginary "cure all" spray that you guys teased each other about.
By the way....any "sky hooks" available your side of the pond ?

Having had a couple of evo's before I got my twin cam I thought I might find one just to have. Looking at craigslist they seem to have gone the way of the shovels after the evo's came out, as in they just disappeared. I know a lot of shovels went over seas and I'm thinking this may be the case here. I'd like to find a wide glide worth the money. I've found some deals on the twin cam wide glides but I'd rather have a evo to play with. I'd hate to see these bikes gone forever..
I say...God Bless the Evo. I bought my 91 Ultra in 2010 for approx. $5.5k here in Scotland. UK. I had never owned a Harley although I had rented a new Road King in the late 1990s in Daytona. I thought it was ok but didnt think I would ever want,or be able to buy one.
Now to the point.. In 2010 I bought the 91 Ultra on eBay UK on a "spur of the moment" decision for $5.5k as I said. Not particularly cheap and bear in mind that I knew very little about them. Big mistake.! Anyway, I persevered and although I am not that mechanically minded, I got the ol Ultra into shape only to find out about 3 years later that the Sw.Arm mounts were rusted beyond belief. Do I part it out or undertake a major Resto. which include buying a good but used Sw.Arm from a dismantler in the USA. After 2.1/2 years, yes 2.1/2 years I put it all together and it fired up first time. Result albeit with many more $s($2.3k) later
I was back on the road. Finally, this 91 Ultra was the ONLY Harley,of almost any model, I could afford but it was my Entry into Harley ownership and thats the thing about the Evos especially if you cant afford the modern stuff, they get you into Harleys and long may that continue.
I have saved a Harley from "Harley Heaven" (or Hell.) and its here in Scotland UK. When Im finished I hope the ol 91 Ultra will give someone else a reasonably priced entry into Harley/EVO ownership in the future.
Long live the EVO.!
