It's been awhile since I frequented the forum on a regular basis, like I used to. Was reading some old posts with my morning cup of joe. Did something happen to TD?
Last sighting of TD was being detained by Indiana State Police for running thru his neighborhood wearing only a Twin Cam Rules shirt flying a Seafoam banner, very bad scene. Locals in news interviews "Something wrong with that guy" Police said no alcohol in his blood test but had the cleanest urine ever tested
$20,000 the White Bike would be having a crate built for it. That kinda of money can fix stupid.

What channel aired the incident?
I'm sure the sounds of the cam chains finally did him in....
Ive bought a couple Evos recently. First was a pretty stock 98 RK that needed a good cleaning and a little work, shifter arm, motor mount, front brakes, 50K miles on it. Ran/rode good, carb coughed a bit, paid $3800. Fixed all the above, then somebody wanted it worse than me, and sold it for $4800.
I went looking for another one recently and found two.
96 RK, stock with slip ons and 15K miles. $6000
98 RK, motor had been gone through according to seller who didnt build it, no part numbers or receipts or even specific info about it, upgraded cam #?, custom candy paint, slip ons, 50K miles. $5500
I called and talked to both sellers. The 96 was bought locally from a used car lot and basically sat most of the time he owned it. He had the carb rebuilt and new tires last year.
The 98 seller told me he didnt know what was done to the motor, he got the bike in a trade, it had new tires, and that he was riding it last summer and the starter switch shorted out on the bars and the starter engaged while he was riding it, ate the starter drive, clutch hub gear. Fixed it and hadnt rode it much since.
I went and looked at the 96 first since it had low miles and motor was stock. Never made it to the 98 with the unknown engine mods. The 96 seller had advertised it for a couple months, was 100 miles from the nearest decent sized city, and was motivated to sell. I gave him $4000.

Seems like there are always a few Evo baggers for sale in the northern Arizona area. A few high mile -low price bikes and occasionally a really nice low mile example. There's a beautiful low miles '95 Ultra for sale on CL right now for $7500. You could spend 2K more and get a 10-15 year old twin cam bagger, which limits the market for the older Evo powered bikes.
But those of us that have had both, and invested way more in the Evo bike than it will ever be worth, understand the VALUE. And as so often it is with cool vehicles, value isn't always about resale numbers.
