Default Seat compatability?

Hey guys, I'm looking to add a solo seat to my 98 FLSTC. Are other Softail models a direct bolt on? What about newer Heritages?

Thanks!

Only EVO softail seats are a direct bolt on.
TC softail seats can be made to fit if you really want them to but not worth the effort IMO.

You can answer your query in part by checking the H-D website, go to the Shop tab and enter your bike details. There you will find a suitable Badlander seat, which confirms it will fit '84 to '99 bikes and you can see which models. So that's a starter!

Got it, thanks. So for example, an EVO Fatboy seat is a direct fit to an EVO Heritage? Seems to be slim pickins out there for EVO Softail seats.

I realize it's not a solo, but I really like the low profile look of this one. Any idea which one it is?

Great idea, thanks. I think that may actually be the seat I want too.

Great, but I wouldn't ask anyone to sit on the back of it!

Corbin and Mustang are worth checking, as they have been around since Evo days and may still sell their models for Softails.

I recently took the old seat for my '95 FLSTC and put it on my '94 FXSTC.
Bolted right up no problems.

You might like the look of that seat but I think your butt should get a vote!!!!

+1 Corbin
Look on eBay also, but the smartest thing to do is to look at other bikes.
