When this happens do not use the enricher. I just give 2 twists of the throttle. She'll turn over faster and fire better... Still might want to check the timing as well...
This sounds like the answer I was looking for. It's been pretty cold here and I haven't ridden it since October. Had an oil leak I was chasing and didn't want to ride till I had the time to chase it down. Finally tracked the leak down and all this time it was the oil filter. Anyway I had a good battery and it was charged but I guess the cold and time it sat, made it hard to turn over. I jumped it with an RV battery and once it fired and ran for a while, it turns over easier now. Was just unsure why it cranked harder with the enrichen valve open but too much fuel in the motor would explain it.

Thanks all!

On another forum I read a signature that applies in most cases. It may apply here too:

"80% of carburetor problems are electrical."
