How do you change turn signal sockets
1997 FLHT changing turn signals to powdercoat them black.How do I disconnect the sockets out of the light housings? It looks like if I bend those tabs that hold the sockets in ,theyll break when I try to press them back in place to hold new sockets in.

I'm hoping someone can answer this. When I did my powder coating I left these chrome as I could not see how to get them apart without tearing them up and I would like to get them powder coated as well. I did make my own special tool by cutting a slot in a 9/16" deep well socket to separate them.
