Hello All. I finally found some time to do some maintenance on my flht. Starting from the back, I pulled the wheel to grease wheel bearings and check swing arm bushings (found I was also missing 2 fender bolts!), gonna also flush the rear master cylinder and caliper. Then onto the front brakes for new fluid and new fork oil. Then new lifters and putting stock pushrods back in, the adjustable pushrods must have rubbed and buggered up the threads. I'll also clean the carb, lube the cables and all new oils. Am I missing anything?
If the front is coming apart for new fork oil I would look at new springs like progressives if you haven't already. Cheap and make a noticable difference. If you're going to check and repack the rear wheel bearings then do the front as well. What year is the bike? I've been having to replace my fuel lines every 3 or 4 years due to the crap fuel we get. Since your going to be flushing the brakes front and rear it might be a good time to put braided brake lines on for better feel with the stock calipers.
