For the stator plug, I use 2 stroke engine case sealer around it to keep water and oil out. Works like a charm. Yamabond is the yamaha one.

Oh, ok, #14 is a big, thick washer, probably about 2.5" OD,
#15 behind the rotor is close to the size of #8, OD maybe a little bigger, it is in there right?

Having just found a couple of examples of Ghetto Fab (by supposed professionals) on my bike, I'm guessing this is the answer....

But honestly, I don't have a clue what it is.

Just reassemble your bike without it...
Bikes run better when there are parts left over!!!!!!!!!!

My #14 looks to be good. And #15 behind the rotor looks correct, too.

Got them measured up. What I've got is three 0.01" #8's.

I'd bet about anything that the one fell off from behind the clutch. I had barely cleared the shafts when I heard it drop, and it landed inside the inner primary case right under the trans shaft. I guess it isn't impossible that it bounced there from the comp side, but it sure doesn't seem like it.

Decided to bolt it back upusing the two shims I am sure were behind the comp and leaving the suspect one off. I'll check the alignment after dinner, but with 0.030" of tolerance, I'm expecting it to be ok unless it was right on the edge before, even if the suspect shim came from behind the comp.

Omaha,
Is it possible the "shim" is from the front forks?
