Did you try it out yet? I'm thinking about ordering one but wanted to see how you liked it
I have one currently on my 98 and it has made no difference in performance from the Dyna 2ki. I had to take my ignition out and send it in for repairs. You will need a timing light though to properly set the ignition timing.

I just got off the phone with Larry at Dynatek and he confirmed the proper procedure to me in setting the ignition timing.
If you have an older SE ignition module without the red led indicator light for setting base timing you will need a timing light and will need to set it according to the manual.
If you have an SE ignition module or a Dynatek 2000P or the Dynatek 2000i all you do is set the base timing. Set the front cylinder to top dead center and turn the cam position sensor ccw till the red led comes on, then turn the cam position sensor cw till the red led just goes out and lock it down.
You have properly set the base ignition timing. At this point all three of these different modules take over. By selecting the proper dip switch settings you will have the proper ignition curve for the motor to run in it's optimized selection. There is nothing else to do.
If however you still go by the manual which is written for stock ignition you will change your base timing and will either have to much timing or not enough.... We all know what to much timing can do....
