Default Rear Brake Reservoir

I'm working on a 1997 flht and am going to bleed the rear brakes. Anyone know off hand how to get the top of the plastic cover off of the fluid reservoir? Couldn't find anything in the fsm and do not want to just start prying on it, I know I'll break it!

Are you talking about the reservoir cap? There are 2 little screws that hold the cap to the body.

On my 89 FLHTC (and they may have relocated the later Evo reservoir), but the reservoir is behind the left side cover. It should just pop off with gentle pry. If memory serves me, there's a little notch/es on the top where you have to unhook. I will have to relook at it tonight, if you haven't figured it out already.

On my 1997 it is located on the front of the frame above the voltage regulator. Looks like I've got to get though the plastic cover to get the screws.

THANKS! I could not see those screws. Maybe I have to clean my trouble light!

Yeah, it must be the trouble light. I think I have the same problem with my light, & old eyes.
