I would definitely start with phone call to Andrews.........
I may just do that...

I got my spring compressor in the mail today !! That's fast !! Looks pretty cool and simple. Ordered just now Sifton valve springs from my V-Twin catalog (mas-classics) . $42. Springs only, oem pressure. May have them before my four day weekend and in they go !! I got a feeling this engine is going to quiet right down... Dam Indy !!!

Good choice on the rope in the cylinder. I've used that procedure many times. Never liked air in the cylinders....

Springs are here today,so I dug right in,only to find out that the high lift springs, caps and keepers are so different that I can't install them. I do have all my old stuff EXCEPT for the keepers,Dam !!! Shame on me,I should have bought the kit that came with keepers and rings. So I'm gonna reuse my old oem rings ,they fit new springs perfect and I have a set of new keepers on the way, hopefully Friday or I'm screwed and bikeless for my four day weekend. I need a drink...here some pics... Taller spring is the high lift.

Quite the difference in spring height there. The retainers won't work on the new springs?

As for the 4 day weekend, weather is supposed to be like ****.....

However you can overnight the keepers....
