Default Help installing Pingel

I've searched around and haven't been able to find a definitive answer on this...

Trying to replace a stock petcock on my Fatboy with the Pingel I bought. How do I plug the vacuum line?

Pingel instructions say to plug it at the T-connection. Which if I'm understanding correctly is underneath and between the two tanks. Do I need to remove one of the tanks to get under there?

Or do I plug it at the back of the carb? And if so, do I need to remove the right tank to get back there?

These instructions presume your bike is stock.
Pull off the right tank.
Remove rubber hose from top of carb to include the t junction, the piece of hose that went to your old petcock, and the VOES.
Get a new rubber line and run it from carb to VOES.

Don't cap anything.

Always a complication...

Apparently I overtightened the acorn nut on my tank console, so now it won't come off...which means I can't get the right tank off. I'll probably have to Dremel the nut off, but it's not sounding like dealers have a replacement screw & nut in stock here.

And I've got an overnight trip I'm supposed to leave on tomorrow morning.

If I cap the line with a screw or something would that work until I can get the tank off and follow the procedure mentioned by TXHill? Or am I asking for trouble by doing that?

Or (just thought of this), could I do it by removing the air cleaner and/or carb instead of removing the tank?

If you put a screw into the hose then make sure it's over sized and secure the hose so that it doesn't bounce around.
