Tom. I've checked in to all of those already.. Of all those you listed only one was possible a Sigma 530 XRS and was being sold out of San Diego. Tatro's, I called twice and left messages... He never got back to me.... But Thanx.. appreciate the help. Well see how the D.I.D. does...

All the one's that J&P lists are closeouts...maybe tsubaki is getting out of the motorcycle chain part of the business.

I gave up on chains when I sold my shovelhead FLH POS and put the belt drive on the Sportster. Adjusting the cheap Tsubaki or Diamond (non-O-ring) chains was a daily job on the road, so, yeah, every 400-500 miles.

2 friends rode from Central Texas to Anchorage and back. On shovelheads. Burned up one chain on the way up. At the Anchorage HD, the only chain they carried was a O-ring, at like 3-4 times the cost of a regular chain. My friend put that on, as he had no choice. He adjusted it one time the whole way back and that was it.

Anyway, if you can't find that Sigma, I think I would just get whatever the top of the line O-ring chain the big suppliers like JP, etc., sell.

I have always run the rev-tech nickel plated o-ring chain...because when I built my first Harley I had a j&p catalog and a custom chrome catalog..and no internet... so everything I bought came out of those 2 books...and that chain was the closest thing they had to chrome.

I never lube them...just wipe them down with wd-40 when they get dirty.

I check the rollers once a year and when any of them get rough, I replace the chain...the bike gets ridden and left out in the rain and mud a lot at bike rallies.

They usually last me 3-4 years and after the initial stretch I may adjust it 2 more times over the life of the chain...and i have yet to wear out a sprocket...the main thing that kills sprockets is rollers on the chain locking up and not rolling.

Default Update on the D.I.D chain.

Well, I put 2000 miles on it and only had two just it the initial 500 mile and lube it every 500 mile with chain wax... It's holding up very nicely well worth the money. Probably helps that I'm not pounding on it like I used to... No wonder I broke my OEM crank..
