Or I should take a ride out there, I measure window jobs all over the Bay Area and I have one there to measure. Will it fit a 98 ultra?

I don't see why not. The central piece goes onto your oil filter housing, then the oil filter fits onto the thread we can see. Looks like the 'wiring' diagram for the pipework is on the piece to the right, so you don't even need any instructions! Everything else will either fit or can be made to IMHO.

Yeah, I think you can make that work. You might need more hose. Where is the oil filter mounted on your bike? Is it underneath or up front? If it is underneath, you won't need the filter adapter, just plumb the thermostat and cooler in between the motor and the filter.

I had it mocked up on my 97 ultra originally . No problems. I even thought of bolting it to the top of my hwy bar. It has a mount on it for the center hole in the frame up at the beginning of the down tubes. Same place the highway bar mounts. Easy peasy

Not rubbish, it is an opinion, just like your opinion.

I rode my Evo Softail for over 20 years in south Florida, no oil cooler, no problems, no rubbish.

It`s an Evo, it doesn`t overheat the oil.

My filter is upfront.
