Default Bought another EVO

I bought my 1999 Heritage in 1999, it has stayed while it saw several other bikes come and go. It now has 119,000 miles on it with only a top end rebuild done 16K miles ago. I sold my 2006 StreetGlide last year and started looking for another EVO. I found this well maintained 1995 FLHTC with a carb a few weeks ago, a 1 owner with 66,000 miles. The more I ride it, the more I like it! I am taking it on a 12 day 4,000 mile trip at the end of next week. No more new bikes for me!

Both nice looking bikes, glad I'm not the only ones who went for a low miles evo over a new one. Congrats on the purchase. How do you like the true duals?

Congrats! I bought an old one with only 16K on it and it runs like a top. Enjoy your trip!

Thanks for the comments, the true duals sound great. The nice thing about buying an older bike is that most of the mods needed have been done. The original owner installed a Yost Power Tube, Stabilizer link, lowering kit, upgraded exhaust and a Brightass Light. He kept all of the original parts that were ever taken off. The only thing left for me is to upgrade the sound system at some point, but even that still works well. I bought an adapter that will allow the cassette player to plug into my Mp3 player. He had an extra seat, I have sent that to Mean Street Cycles to have their memory foam mod done along with lowering it and making it more narrow in the thigh area. Nothing else needs to be done.

Thanks, I think an EVO that has been well maintained is one of the best buys out there. They have depreciated about as far as they are going to. They are reliable, easy to work on, with plenty of parts and aftermarket mods available. New and bigger is not always better.
