Bike is not junk it has a issues and needs some one that knows what they are doing to go over it. All of the after market work does not help sorting it out.
Now that you mentioned it, the left side blinker isn't working. Marker light yes, but no flash
Very common issue with the Turn signal module and most likely the 2 are not related..... Module # is 68540-96. You can get them on eBay or Amazon for &
$50-60. Believe that model fits up to a 2003 Sporster...

I'd try a new bulb before I replaced the module myself.
It could be something as simple as a burnt element in the bulb.

Like smitty901 says, all the aftermarket parts are making it more difficult to sort out. And I would say that even with a fuel programmer you are really pushing it with straight thru pipes especially without baffles on an MM efi bike. If you spent any time on here you will know that MM efi is difficult to use with mods.
If you love the bike I would either convert to a carb or remove the programmer and find some pipes that are not straight thru even with the baffles in them. I am running the older Screamin Eagle two stage pipes on my 97 MM efi bike with stock air cleaner and it runs great, has a nice sound, and is a little louder than stock. G.B.
I've been running this setup for 2 years now. Only issue I've run into so far (before this) was trying to dial in & fine tune the programmer. I ended up just accepting my mileage sucked & left it a little too rich.
Update on progress:
I followed the steps in the video & adjusted the TPS. Only adjustment needed was the cold engine idle, but it was pretty far out of whack.
I was sitting & thinking about how long it's been since I've been able to ride & a light bulb went off... that gas was 2 months old. I drained it all & poured some Chemtool B-12 in the tank & sloshed it around, then dumped it again. Added some fresh 93 to it & it fired up & ran a LOT better. I let it idle for probably 20 minutes or so, just to see if it'd act up again. I was just about to take off for a test ride when I found a pretty good oil leak on the front rocker box. She's back in the shop on the jack again until I get time to tinker some more.
I wanna seriously thank all you fellas for all the advice & help. Hopefully I'll get some time to mess with it today & be able to ride this weekend
Well I hope that fixed it. I'm curious about your fuel mileage. On mine with the TFI I run it seems to run a tad rich and my mileage is around 38-42 mpg. I just figure running 80 mph on the highway most of the time sucks it down faster.
Mileage was about 38-40 when I got bike (at time, I thought it was pretty much stock), but after removing baffles & adding TFI, mileage is 28-30.
Thinking I had stock internals, I bought an Andrews EV-27, hoping to pep it up a little more. When I installed it, I found I've got adjustable push rods, & the cam had a shim washer. Still haven't had chance to go to my storage unit to get my caliper to check specs on the cam though. Curious to know what I took out, hoping I didn't "downsize" cams, lol.
Made time to pull tank & front rocker covers & fixed the oil leak. The new gasket between rocker box bottom & mid section cover had a small tear, so I put the old one back in. That fixed that issue, but looking like top gasket is bad too, since I can actually hear air pressure releasing from the front & after taking it for a ride, there was some oil on front apparently coming from same area. Wasn't enough to stress over immediately, so I'm gonna ride tomorrow, but will be replacing it in next few days to address that leak.
Things I noticed when I rode earlier:
Valve train is NOISY, I can hear it over the loud *** pipes.
Doesn't seem to have as much umph as before, but still trying to dial it in.
Well, we got to ride for a little while yesterday. All was good, with exception of needing to dial in the TFI a little better. Had my mind already set, when we got home, I was pulling the V&H tips off & putting a set of stockers on just to try it out without the TFI. Long story short, she died on way home & had to be trailered (again).
Just had chance to mess with it (was too pissed off yesterday) & pulled the engine codes again. Now she's flashing engine temp sensor. Wow, I guess she just wanted ALL new sensors... Anyway, another part on order, I guess we'll see how it goes next week. 😞
