Default Wheel upgrade questions

I have a 1995 Electra Glide, I'm trying to put on a 2016 street glide front wheel and fender I've purchased, the 95 Electra Glide has a smaller axle , the rotors on both rims are same distance apart everything looks really close, i know i don't have ABS, bottom line, i know it will work, at least I'm really hopping it will. I'm leaving the back wheel alone, only front swap, I've been told all ill need is a sleeve to go over my axle , might have to swap calipers even though there is just enough clearance, truth is I'm lost and need help to make this happen, please help it changes the look of the bike night and day... thanks, Eddie.

I just want to show everyone that these old Harley's are just as cool as the new ones. It's crazy what a little paint will do. Please help me make this happen.

Welcome. The wheel should be as simple as changing the bearing to 3/4 ID bearings to fit your axle and getting the proper spacers.

The brakes and rotors can get a little more complicated. If you want to use the rotors on the new wheel you will either have to get them turned down as they are a little bigger or go with the newer brembo brake calipers. If you go with the brembos you will have to either buy adapters for the lowers or go with newer model (2000 to 2013) lowers. Going with the new lower will pose another small problem though as the newer lower use either a 1" axle or 25mm axle (either axle will fit new lowers) and no one makes a speedo drive for those axle diameters. I have upgraded my lower on my 97 so I could use newer 4 piston calipers but decided to keep my original wheel for now and this what I did. I bought a 1" axle and had a machinist turn it down from 1" to 3/4" from the shoulder of the big end out to the taper on the threaded end. This allowed me to retain the speedo drive. Hope this helps and good luck.

I bought a set of the 25 mm to half inch axle reducers I ended up not using I'll give you for the cost of shipping.

does the wheel have an 11.8" rotor on it? not sure on the fit...I have an 11.5" floating rotor too...they came on the early V rods before going to the brembo calipers an larger rotors. I'd get rid of that too.
