Default evo slip ons

still looking for a good compromise between nice sound and not too loud pipes for a 99 softail. I'd like to keep the stock headers and fit slip ons. I have screaming eagle at the moment but don't like the sound, from what I can read, Khrome werks 3 inch seems to be adequate, however, it says they fit 2007 and later models. My question is , can these mufflers still fit a 1340 , providing I can weld an attachment on it, or will they just not fit on the head pipes ?
Maybe some of you guys have any recommendations on a particular brand / model muffler ??
part of the problem is I work night shift, 1am start, too loud won't do it, I was even considering getting a set of stock mufflers !
Thanks.

What I know about fitment I can print on a bottle cap. A regular bottle cap too, not a Mickeys widemouth. But I put a pair of screaming eagle fishtails from an '08 Eg on my '97 ultra. I think the pipe diameter is the same so the only issue is mounting points. some one more knowledgeable than me will be along shortly to tell me where I'm wrong, be patient.

I have Khrome Werks HP Plus 3” tapered slip ons on my ‘96 FXD. They sound good, not great but good. They’re not too loud and they look stock. I’m pretty sure they make a Softail version. The Dyna version would fit if you modify the mount. The diameter should be the same.
