Slip ons won't fit

I like the sound of the 07 Screamn' Eagle Street Performance Touring Mufflers, (slash down) they're not to loud & not to quiet, just a nice rumble in my opinion. Anyway, Harley told me they won't fit on my 97 Road King, so I'm now looking for something comparable to install. Not looking for ear ringing loud, just a little rumble; any suggestios other than Supertrapp, Rhineharts or Vance & Hines?

dont know why they wont fit. alignment and rear mounts are the same. i would try them before i spent $ on something you may not like

Have thought about the Fuel Moto/Rush modification, I think they call it the Jackpot mufflers now, but I'm not looking for performance just a little rumble over stock.

If you have them and they will not go onto the header check on the inside for a ridge. I had to use a die grinder to remove a ridge on both of my SE's. They were at the end as where it goes onto he header. At first I thought they were too small.
