While waiting on manual/parts,Ive been cleaning and looking Her over a lot.
Theres a vacuum port on Her intake manifold that's plugged, and a switch thing that has a hose not plugged into anything.
This hose..is it supposed to go from switch to the manifold? I'm guessing whoever installed this S@S carb left it unplugged... but what reason?

Sounds like whoever installed the carb decided to not connect the VOES.
Vacuum Operated Electrical Switch.
It works with your timing.
So leave as is (vacuum unplugged) or plug it back up?
Switch has one wire going up towards speedo, the other seems to be going to Her ignition control module,so nothings jacked with there..at least I don't think so.
Texashillcountry, Here..I poured some Gentleman Jack threw here for Ya

Using the VOES depends on your ignition system. Some aftermarket systems do away with it, although the Crane I used still used it (many years ago now). If the VOES should be used, but is disconnected, the bike is likely to ride like a real b1tch - at least mine did. You will know all about it! As you're talking (or is that us?!) of changing to a new system to replace your sensor, then follow the instructions. They should tell you if you need to continue to use the VOES.

The new 111 with the super stock ignition says use the VOES.
