So I totally stripped the idle jet on my CV carb. I was trying to go up a size and was installing the CV performance tune kit. Now I have no idea how to get it out.
Are you saying you ruined the slot on the old jet trying to get it out? Those can get well and truly stuck.
Is there anything left of the head of the jet? Can you try a different screwdriver?
You have the carb off the bike, right? The last one of these I did it took an unbelievable amount of downward force to keep the screwdriver in the slot.
Without seeing what you're working with here, it's hard to say, but my first inclination would be to try to use a dremel to get enough slot to get the screwdriver to bite.
I got it. fashioned my screw driver and finally got it to turn. Thanks for the advice. couldn't believe the amount of downforce it took to get it going. Moved to a 45 slow jet. We'll see what it does tomorrow.
