Default B&M Trick Shift in the primary

All I can say is ,"WOW"! Clean, crisp shifting, finds neutral so easily. Easy upshifting and downshifting. I'm sold! Plus the Stator will like a cooler running fluid. Been running it for a week now. Love it! Now my Hayden chain adjuster doesn't whine. Drained it half way thru the week and checked out everything. Good to go.

I use whatever synthetic ATF I can find at the auto parts store, with the same results.

Dr. H, I was under the impression when using ATF in my primary that I was to use ATF type F only. Can I use ATF (not type F) and better yet use ATF synthetic? If so that would be great

This is off the beaten path. It probably doesn't matter what type you use. I don't even know the differences in the types. I and others have been using the full synthetic stuff now for several years without any problems. Given that everything from 5W30 to straight 90W motor oil, and every kind of gear oil known to man has been in there from either the factory or someone, it probably only matters that it's oil. The synthetic ATF makes is shift really smooth.

GM dextron will be smoother for engagement in a transmission - type F ford will grab better then dextron and shift firmer < reason every automatic race car uses it type F - B&M and many others is a formula blended after Type F it just costs more
