Default Idle not the same sometimes

What would cause when riding or blipping the throttle and letting off back to idle, for the engine to idle a little different. Just installed new manifold and gaskets, no leaks there. AFR is the same just sometimes it will idle a little lower and sometimes a hair higher when letting off?

Mikuni HSR 42.

I am not familiar with Mikuni carburetors but I will offer this; could it be that you have a small (and apparently inconsistent) vacuum leak somewhere on the Mikuni itself?
Try spraying (carburetor cleaner or water) on the carburetor while observing the engine's response.

Ive been riding carb bikes for years- all different makes and models- idle will vary slightly from day to day depending on temp/humidity/how im riding the bike that day. If im hammering hard- idle tends to stay high. Just putting around- idle will stay low. Not a huge varience- but enough to notice.

Man, take a break and go for a long ride. We can help you here, but not with that OCD.
