And the reason the idle changes when you put it on the jiffy stand is because your throttle cables are to tight, you need more slack. You noted that in video 4.... It is common with tight cables for the idle to go up when the front end is straight and go down when turned to the left.....
Sorry I didnt clarify.. Im not messing with the jets.. I'm leaving whats in there, 42 and 170...

Why does the a/f not change anything when turned... Someone else suggested that the petcock diaphram might be gone and sending fuel from the vaccume line? Or that the float level may be off, also causing a rich mixture

Your jets are pretty much stock. If by Playing with the idle mixture screw (which is more fuel out) and it does nothing , that circuit is plugged... Bring your carb to an Indy and let him rebuild it. Obviously the carb is plugged up... Best thing to do with the petcock is to replace it with a $90 Pingel....

if it was plugged up wouldnt it be more like not enough fuel is getting through? And wouldnt idle well at all?

Float level looks good, id post a photo but it wont let me. 18 degrees, float is level, 11mm from carb body

"if it was plugged up wouldnt it be more like not enough fuel is getting through? And wouldnt idle well at all?"

You also have "transfer ports" that come into play just above idle as soon as the throttle plate/valve is cracked ever so slightly open. That plate can and is opened up with the idle speed adjustment screw. It shares the same fuel feed as the slow/idle circuit. You can get fuel feeding from those transfer ports and it will run on those at or near idle.

Next time your carb is apart, take a look, they are a group of 5 holes right where the throttle plate snaps closed on bottom of throat of carb. Your manual has a good fuel circuit breakdown in the carb section and shows what the transfer ports are/does. YD

They appear clear. When I have my float bowl apart with the bottom chamber piece.. the part that the accelerator pump is on.. with the accelerator pump out I have the sound of a loose piece inside somewhere when I tip the piece back and forth any idea what this is and if it is normal? I can provide a video if no one knows what Im talking about

Im going to guess and say the sound is coming from under the piece fuel squirts out, a check valve or something perhaps?

I think that's a good idea. Pull the carb yourself and bring it in to an Indy. Can't be more than 1 hr labor and the kit.... Good luck man...
