Careful on the current standard HD filter. They are more restrictive than what you bike was designed to use, and your bike, unlike our Evo big twins, has the oil filter in the supply side, not the scavenge side. That is, you could be experiencing a pressure drop at the filter. The oil weight should be 20W50, and not the synthetic stuff, but the "dino" stuff. Before you tear the motor down, I would swap to a generic filter, like a Wix filter as used in a 1986 Toyota 22R (4 cylinder) Truck, for example, and some 20W50 non-synthetic oil and see if you still get funny noises.

My bad-i use Harley 20 -50 oil. But-why can't I trust Harley to provide me the appropriate filter? How can I find a filetr for my bike in automotive section?
Thanks for your input
like a Wix filter as used in a 1986 Toyota 22R (4 cylinder) Truck, for example,
I use OEM Toyota filters for that vehicle on all my bikes. The Wix is also a good line. I avoid Fram.
Might be not related, or might be part of your problem. A $5 filter swap won't hurt to try. Also, is, that HD oil the full synthetic or the black bottle "dino" semi-synthetic? A lot of us have had all kinds of funny noises with the HD full synthetic.
I get them by the case at the Toyota dealer in the $5 range. They are even black. Also, the Walmart private label ("Supertec") filters are very good and made by the same people that make the HD filters, if I recall. Champion. Check Bob is the oil guy for more about filters than you'll ever want to know.
If you're using the non-synthetic oil, a different filter making less noise at this point is going to be a slight chance. A different filter as a sanity check wouldn't hurt, but I think you are in for some lifters. Make sure the noise isn't from the top end. It can travel and be deceiving.
