Morning all.
Well I got the old girl home last weekend, after breaking down with electrical problems, got her home and after some basic testing with the multimeter I found the Regulator was shot.
Replaced the Regulator and got her up and running.
Also gave it a full service including new brake fluid and fuel lines, inspected and re-packed wheel bearings.
Had to give her a bloody good clean as it had been sitting in a shed under a tarp for 20yrs, previous owner bought her off the original owner and just put new tyres and battery on it and sold it to me after he
cleaned her up for roadworthy.
I took her for a good ride and took plenty of tools just in case, she ran great, but noisy around the pushrods, so I bit the bullet and just ordered new lifters and a new cam bearing.
I tore her down and found that two of the lifters roller bearings almost felt dry, they weren't but they had that feeling like a shot wheel bearing, so I am pretty sure that is the cause, they are the "A" lifters
so worth doing the change.
The cam has a blue dot and "L" on the 1st lobe so I would assume she is stoke.
