Sure there is a little improvement for dragstrip burn outs for tire spin...ha
That vent port is way up just under the threaded portion of the fuel cap.
Without laying the bike on its side or leaning way over when the tanks are full there ain't no way you are gonna get fuel in that vent line.
Not to mention that as long as the motor is running you are pulling a vacuum on that vent line that will prevent fuel from draining down it.

Guess my 04 Softail is different since it's at the top front of tank. My original post was just how I see it was engineered. My second about the burn out was a joke. Sure they are difference. Know without that restricted vent on there, some will smell up a garage.
Just my opinion but that restricted vent is to keep liquid from getting to the ground as a safety measure to keep a bike from going up in flames.
Harley does not waste money putting on parts for nothing. That fuel vapor valve is about $15.
