I always remove my rear tire first.
The the lifter blocks, then the pistons .

It is a lot less work pulling the pistons up out the lifter block holes whith the rear tire removed.
But i guess everyone else knows this....

Why would you remove your rear tire when messing with your lifter blocks????
You make your job a lot harder than it needs to be if you remove the tire!!!!!
Depending on the jug you're working on you should have it at TDC and the easiest way to get it there is to rotate the rear tire..;.
BTW you have lifters in your lifter blocks not pistons.

Say what?
I always remove the piston through the lifter blocks .i use K-TELL shrink and go sold at stores everywhere.
It is only 10.95 a can
Not sure about the rear tire thing, as I just pump the swing arm up and dwn to get the crank at the right spot.
Once that is done it all becomes too EZ.
