Physics, or the tried and true’d methods is going to give you the best performance for any high performance build.
Question I have been dying to ask is, are you building a dragster? Or just want the bike to look like it?
Or are you building a street bike that can both look and perform like a drag bike with good or really carzy off the line take off ability?
I have managed to achieve an off the line monster with my late model twink cam with nothing more the a really well thought out stage one kit and a final drive gear swap to 30/70 ut still retain that sleeper look

Actually... the Winning Harley Drag Racers... the real ones.. at the national Events, Do Not use Cheap *** Drag Pipes.. Depending on Riding style, and Preferences [this is decidedly Not Just mindless Blasting off] The Exhaust is set up for the track and Bike and rider... and again... the Folks that win... are Not using any Drag Pipes that you can Buy....!!

Stacey has the simplest solution... 3 steps ... strategically Placed, and executed.. in fact more than one set....depending on circumstances...

While Tom utilized 2 into ones... more often than not

In fact Nitro Bikes... Like Rich's Are leaning on 2 to Ones more lately... but that too is variable

200mph 1/4 mile anyone???
And I promise you... the first person to proclaim "I'm Crazy enough to try that" is the Last Person anyone is gonna even line up next to..
Course... I don't know all of Harley Drag Racing.... But a bit!!!!!

I Grew out of Drag Pipes 30 years ago... I like Manners and a Clean...solid Pull at any Throttle opening... and in any gear/rpm...
Noise????? Not Power... and certainly no Manners...as is required on a street bike... Unless ya spend yer riding time [100%] playing Drag racer... then... you won't be seeing me anywhere close by!!!
Oh... I Take that back... an Ironhead tuned as well as can be expected...simply cries out for the "Sound".... Aluminum just can't compare...
And, if ya notice... all of the Bikes above are EVO based, and utilize Iron Cylinders!!!!!

I keep my drags to drown out my friends that choose to blast music while riding ! Not what I want to hear riding. 1 3/4 cycle shack drags bud, with torque cones, don't run without..
