Looking to purchase 1 3/4 chrome drag pipes . Question being who produces great drag pipes for a 1998 evo softail . I hear some have cheep chrome that flakes off . Is there a USA made product out there in drag pipes ?
Do you think the Cycle shack ones are just as good and in chrome quality . I can get a vance and hines pro pipe my tuner saiid my bike should pull 85 HP for my 1340 with the pro pipe . I had the dyno pull with longshots at 81 hp . I know the HP will not be as good but the old school look of 1 3/4 drags with the S@S super E and the sound with single fire ignition it the closist I can get to a shovel head sound

For Cycle Shack, you're looking at either used or whatever NOS is still in the system. They shut down a couple of years ago.
I'm with you on the look of straight pipes + S&S carb. I built my bobber that way. I'm sure some dyno testing would reveal that my pipes are costing me power, but that's ok.
Sounds like you have a decent build there... Why would you want to ruin it with a set of drag pipes.... If You want the sound of a Shovel then buy a Shovel..... https://dai.ly/x59jk8q

I put KhromeWerks baffles on the pipes on my Sporty. It's surprisingly civilized and responsive at modest throttle levels. Wind it up and it's fully anti-social.
