there is a difference... changed ??? IDK when... but the Brakes are mounted differently on the '82, from the '94... all I know about it..Later than regular production???? No idea..

The frame is the same....Brakes are different but all year work on all years.

No... the bracket that holds the master cylinder is different... 1982 to 1994... I just do Not know when the change came... maybe like most other changes... about 1984???
The frames are [other than that weldment]... the same... excepting ..as stated... the early ones did Not have the Frame mounts [weldment threaded bungs] for the frame mounted fairing
There is a 1983, and a 1994 in the shop right now... when [IF] it warms a bit I can get a picture...

I have two 1991 FXRs and one has a zerk fitting in the neck, the other does not.
And... why would you want one??
how much grease you think it would take to completely fill the frame neck, such that grease would actually reach the neck bearings????
Plug the zerk one and do it Right!!!!
